Glock 23 vs. 27. Any disadvantages to either? I am going to hold both tomorrow, just wanted to ask if 1 or the other pistol is prone to problems.

Hold them both, try both if you can, and buy both if you can... I have heard the 23 is about an ideal size for carry and shooting, while the 27 is the most logical "backup" and will accept the magazine from the 23.
I have a G22, and the 27 is on my wishlist. |

I have a 21, and 30. Both are very nice guns.

Gotta go with the Glock 30. Love the .45. Of course you cant go wrong with the 19 either. Or the 26 or 36.

<chuckles>
I shoot IPSC and IDPA with a GLOCK, I have one with over (well over) 100,000 rounds through it. It popped a trigger spring on Thursday, .69 cents and 10 minutes later I was back on the range. That was the first mechanical problem that I've had--bad ammo, sure. Bad mags, yes (ps--NEVER use Glock magazine extensions). I'm an HK collector and a GLOCK shooter. I believe in them because I've seen them work over the long haul; if you do your part they will do their part.
The pistol has 36 parts and you can completely disassemble it with a pair of nail clippers and a little knowledge in 10 minutes. Not one part on it other that the barrel, slide, or frame is over $20 and virtually everyone sells them. You can buy spare "full cap" mags for $14.95. Match accurate? Nope. Is it perty? 'Fraid not, but it looks fine from the back. In use by the Navy SEALs? Uh uh. Will it go bang when I pull the trigger? Yes, yes it will. Every time. Like any good tool it is simple, reliable, and easy to fix. I'll have one in my belt for a long time to come. HK Dan

ask your dealer to show you the difference in size between the 26 and 19....you will be amazed at the practically negligible difference in measurements. The 19 offers slightly better accuracy and higher mag capacity. Both excellent guns----just my take.

9mm glocks have proved to be more reliable in function than 40's. Have read stories about the 40's going kaput.

Congrats on the purchase. Make sure to post a range report after shooting it. Good luck.
