Talking Firearm Names?

Has/does anyone here name their firearms?

I never have, but now that I have a 870 HD, I nicknamed it Mars, after the god of war, because it is such at close range

Curious to here your responses.

When I was carrying a custom .45 a few years ago I often referred to it as "John Moses" sort of as a code, as in "John Moses and I are going out to dinner". The place I was working all the management knew I carried and occasionally when we had to work late the manger would say “Why don’t you and John Moses walk the ladies to their cars”. The new gals wondered why I was the only one walking them to their cars.

The wife refers to the Rem 1100 with pistol grip stock, mag extension, side saddle and 20" barrel as "Boomer". But I generally don’t name my guns.

Nope. Heck, I am having trouble even coming up with a clever name for any of them as we discuss it now..

I think this says it best:

"Now listen up, you primitive screwheads. See this? This... is my boomstick! The 12-gauge double-barreled Remington. S-Mart's top of the line. You can find this in the sporting goods department. That's right, this sweet baby was made in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Retails for about $109.95. It's got a walnut stock, cobalt blue steel, and a hair trigger. That's right. Shop smart. Shop S-Mart. You *got* that? "

Talking

I always refer to my GLOCK 19 as my piece... Although my new Kimber is in the mail going to my NY FFL... I might call her KIM or Kimberly...

Just so no one fesses up to naming his M-14 "Charlene. "
