New Toys

Well , yesterday I decided to go and get some more ammo since I shot everything I had at the range . while I was at this new place (to me) I saw a great selection of guns. Felt like a kid in a candy store . I ended up purchasing( after much drooling ) a Sig 226 DAK . I also ordered a new kel tec sub2000 40 cal . Tried the sig out and man I just love it . May become my new carry piece. Can't wait to get my new kel tec so I can go blow off a couple hundred rounds.Wife thinks I'm outta my mind buying more guns , but as long as she get's a nice shiny present once in a while I can get away with it . Little does she know that I was looking for a new pistol for her to replace the 38 snubby she has now .

Anyone else have the sig 226? Just wondering how others liked it.

BTW the sig is 357 sig .

Well - I have a 226 ST in 9mm - so about same platform in essence.

Love it and think you'll like the DAK.

Mine has had over 600 days all but non interrupted carry right now.

I also have a 226 in 9MM and love it. The 239 is just a little easier to carry.

Don't have the P226, but I do have a P239 in 357SIG. Outstanding round. Fire it around dusk and watch the fireball. That's something you won't see from your 9mm or .40. I also have the P239 in 9mm so I can make comparisons. The 9mm is my carry piece because I can get a 10 round mag for it. As soon as Kevin at K&D finishes my holsters I'll be carrying the 357 around the house. The mags are 7 rounders, but I am never over 8 to 10 feet from another weapon.

Enjoy the SIG.

I have the 226's little brother, the 228 and I love it. I owned a 226 eight years ago and I loved it too. I traded it off and now I am kicking myself for that.

Makes your wife say, "Ooooh." It's a hot round and it's interesting to watch. It performs no useful task other than entertainment. I guess the reason why several people have them for avatars is that they just look cool.
