I still have my Savage bolt action (model 5?). When I was a kid (a long time ago in a galaxy far away), I worked my cousin's dairy farm during summers. My folks felt it might keep me out of jail. ( It did! Farming is tough work!!) One day a week, I got to shoot gophers at $.50/per set of ears. They colonized around the cornfield. I made out pretty well.

I also have a Remington Nylon 66, which I got while working the Christmas holidays in a department store while in college. I still shoot it; it was and is a neat design.

I still have my first .22LR rifle....a Ruger 10/22....I got it late in life since I lived in two un-gun friendly environments: NYC and Puerto Rico.

Plannin on handing it down

Still have mine. Marlin Glenfield model 60. My grandpa gave it to me for Christmas when I was 9 and my dad got me a gun cabinet for my room to keep it in at the same time.

I also still have my first Red Rider that I got when I was about 5. I killed a lot of quail and doves, robins, field larks and stuff with the red rider. Shot a few rabbits with the .22 but never really used it much, becuase it meant so much to me I was afraid to get any scratches on it.

New Haven (by Mossberg)

It's a 7 shot, detachable magazine, bolt action. I've had it since I was 14. Since I mostly shot it at an indoor range at bullseyes, I had a Lyman ppe sight put on. It is otherwise original and in my gun saf now, 44 yrs later.

Yes

I still have my Winchester 94/22 lever action that my Father got me. Still looks as though it was new (thanks to my Dad always telling and showing me how to keep it clean and maintained).

I don't, I sold it last year. I had a Marlin .22 model 60 rifle. Had it about 20+ years. I had not shot it in many years and just decided to sell it. One day I may be sorry I did.

Kind of, my son has it now. A Sears "Ted Williams" (Marlin) tube fed bolt action that my dad bought before I was born. He gave it to me when I was about 10, and I passed it along to my oldest when he was about that same age. He's in the USAF now and his guns are in my safe, so yeah I kinda still have it.

Now I need to decide what my grandson is gonna get for his first 22 <G>.
