I still got mine. It's Remington Model #514 single shot bolt action. It's going on 51 years old. Still shoots as good as the day I got it.

When I was 18 I bought myself a Ruger 10/22 and still have it today. Still a fun gun to plink with and, along with a bolt action youth .22 rifle, has taught my daughters to shoot.
Everyone should have at least 1 .22 rifle and pistol.

Got to go shooting my old Remington 550 yesterday. Even though I got to blast away with my Sig 220, Ruger MK II and Rem 870, aswell as a few of my friend's guns. And I would bet our two (more than twice as old as us) .22 rifles were the most fun. We set up a bunch of spent shotgun shells at started to pick them off.

Browning lever action
Up until I was 18 all I ever had was BB guns so when I became of age I bought this sweet little Browning .22 lever gun, nice Polly coated wood stock, beautiful deep blue, shot like a dream then and still does 37 years later.
I just wish I had all the brass I left on the ground from this gun, lets see, 2 bricks every weekend for oh around 6-7 years before I got married (wow I use to shoot a lot, N that was just the .22). I bet there would be enough to turn in for scrap and buy a nice SW 500.
