So.... if its covered in diamonds.... What happens to your hands during repeated firing? Considering diamonds will cut ANYTHING rather easily, I wonder what they might do to hands? I'm sure a gun like this isn't meant to be fired but geeeeeez

Maybe it's for a visual stun effect. You pull that baby out and they are so shocked at the sight of it you have extra time to take action?
Nah...you guys got it all wrong....its actually a new "weapon" in disquise...

Imagine the razzle dazzle you'd get if you simply shine your flashlight on it...
with all those diamonds it'd be quite a light display and extremely disorienting to anyone that looks at it...

I have a set with all emeralds rather than the rubies if anybody is interested. They look real nice with the greenish tinted parkerized finish.

Much, much better than Emeralds, Sapphires, or checkered wood grips.

That makes it Really Easy to maintain a very tight hold on the pistol when some thief is attempting to take your gun off you and murder you for your incredibly valuable pistol grips.

The Bad Guys will have an extremely tough time prying these out of those cold, dead fingers.
Sorry, but sapphires and rubies are both the same crystal, corrundum.

As for sharp edges and cutting things, the mounted stones are round cuts and the exposed section of each stone is the crown (from the girdle up to the table). There are no sharp edges because the facet angles are not acute, thus no cutting edges per se.

On top of all that, the stones are pave set. That means they are low set into the gold, much like a pebble pavement. As such, you get a pebbly grip, that combined with the other information, means that your hands won't get cut up from the stones, but not doubt you run the risk of blisters from the pebbly surface as you would if the surface was the same structure, but made of some other hard material.
