Would anyone feel undergunned
with a wheel gun? I recently bought a Ruger SP101 and really like the little pistol. I have been thinking aboiut using it as my carry piece. It is a 3" model and shoots quite well, it shoots POA POI with 158gr, the 125gr are a tad highand to the left for me.

No , unless I was in a really bad area, I shouldn't be in the first place.

I used to carry my 2 1/4 Sp-101 and didn't really feel undergunned - other than capacity being the lowly 5. I used and still would, the CorBon 100 +P's and it is quite effective.
Same gun will see truck duty at times and is always at the ready - just opted to go semi and up capacity, plus in truth even tho I am and always have been a great revo fan - reckon I can shoot the SIG significantly better. I prefer with revo to go up to a size like my M28-2 4" but tho I carried it for a while - it is a shade bigger in profile than I like long term.

A stout .357mag in the SP101 can be quite a handful. But, the gun will do a lifetime of that and not skip a beat. It's a heck of a gun. Amazingly reliable. Heavier. If you get the snubbie, practice quite a lot, to tame the recoil. Otherwise, I would certainly not feel under-gunned with an SP101.

SP-101 is a sweet carry piece. I wouldn't feel under gunned at all with it. In fact I just got back from shooting my new P22 and S&W 686 .357 mag. I would not want to be in front of that round.
My CCW instructor doesn't feel under gunned either carrying a revolver. He shouldn't as he carry's a S&W .500 4" in a smart carry holster. Dude has a major cannon at his finger tips. If I didn't like my auto's so much I'd carry an SP-101! Ti.

Nope....especially if that wheelgun where carrying .357 Mag. 125 grain JHP's or was chambered in 9mm, 10mm or .45 ACP.
Wheel guns are fine guns!

Mine seems to shoot POA POI better with the 158 grn over the 125 grn. Is this normal?

Most snubs shoot 158's to point of aim and with Smiths IIRC the gun is designed and sighted around that weight of bullet. A lighter bullet exits quicker and does not give quite the muzzle rise of the heavier bullet so POI can be a shade lower. I never bothered with that in my SP with 110's - reckoning if used it'd be too close to really matter!
