S&w 625

Got a 625 .45 acp, today. Shot so well I think I'll carry it.
But, what is the trick in using half & full moon clips.
I'm having a hard time getting ammo in and brass out of the clips.

If you don't have the tools, you are going to have very sore fingers! You're right, the 625 will be a great carry gun, albiet somewhat heavy. I am adding mine to my permit too.

Yep - a demooner is easy to make - and mine actually was more than needed in as much as a piece of 1/2" copper pipe will do. Loading a moonclip is not hard but a demooner sure makes short work of getting empties out.

Congrats on the 625 - I love mine - great accuracy and a cinch to shoot.

I am going to make one of those. I flush cut a piece of copper tubing and it works ok; but, I can see that your design should work better.
Thanks

IIRC Georgia Arms sells the loaded rds. and Starline Offers the brass.

It is essentially the ol' ACP, only with a rim which does the same thing as a moon clip. It is loaded to the same pressures as the ACP's also. --------

Haven't checked Bud - but does Starline do those auto rim?

I like their brass and well might get some auto rim - only need the suitable shell-holder and be good to go.
