Question about Steyr firearms

First off, I know this isn't a practical purchase. I'm not going to carry it or use it for self defense.

I'm looking into getting a Steyr SSP for some fun at the range. I had heard that Steyr is no longer making / no longer importing to the US.

Is this true?

I haven't seen any in a long while,,now that they are suposed to have a new imported,you mite see them again,,mite try a google search to see if they pop up,,can't think of their name off hand
