Dallas Swat on TV

Darn it all. Occassionally I catch this on TV in the evenings if I'm not already busy. Last night I was quite frustrated when I caught part of an episode and heard one of the officers saying they were worried about a suspect because he had Black Talon Armor Piercing Cop-killer bullets. AAARGGGG! Do they ever stop perpetuating ignorant myths? Guess I'm done watching this show!

As ever the media will be available, and they can hype up ''buzz'' words and maintain the drama they so love.

Sad thing is here, it seems an officer was adding his own uninformed hype - which no doubt came from media in first place.

All helps perpetuate scare legends.

"Scare legends" I like that - very descriptive. Of course "brain washing" would be pretty accurate also.

CombatEffective
One big problem that I have with that show is that the officers are revealing WAY too much information about their personal lives.

I saw that episode. I agree it is a myth. Also I have to agree with CombatEffective.

It's "GI Joe", live. Professionalism has been discarded for "Yaahooo!" factor. Sounds like you missed the first part- they raided the wrong side of the duplex, because of "bad intel"........... "Where's my butt........., less'see, got the flashlight....it's here somewhere........"

I refuse to watch fiction based on perceived truth.

Just another, grab the uniformed viewer by any means
possible.

That was my question- I've only seen the one episode, this weekend, while on a trip (otherwise, we don't do cable crap), is this a "Cops"-style follow-along, or completely staged? If this is a follow-along, these guys are going to get seriously lit up, at some point.
