Tried, loved but can't get!
We have all tried various guns we do not or cannot own - for various reasons. Cost is probably main deterrant. What was your fave?
I shot a SAW and loved it (if someone else bought the ammo!). I also almost equally loved the 50 BMG Barrett. Oh and, better include the G18 too ![]() I have tried countless others but these do stick in my mind as highly desirable but - out of reach.

The guns I drool over I've never tried but know they would be a blast start with that new auto-shotgun the military has to the MaDuce and there was someone that posted a few weeks ago a 1911 with scroll work that had the Texas star and the scales of justice. (I know how a 1911 shoots but I still was drooling over this). Then their's the Kalishankov and a Thompson. Both would make a great pick-up gun

More realistic
From a more realistic stand point, I'd love to own a Glock 18.

OK, a Barrett .50 and the gun I'll always regret selling but just can't justify to afford to replace, my mid 70's model Uzi. Man what fun weapon to shoot. Especially with the Czech steel jacketed 9mm machine gun ammo I used to get. Guarenteed to make any pistol go kaboom but the Uzi ate it all day. Problem was it ate alot!

I'm On a Roll...
and when you put in your years and retire, one should be able to do or have the things sought after in younger years (with some sense of reality).
After 6 years of sitting around, buying a few guns, traveling a little...I got back into the job market again and now some EXTRA cash is there... I have pretty much been able to buy what ever I really wanted! To over do it would be stupid, but I really wanted some Kimbers and Glocks...and now some of those guys are sitting in my safe and openly 'moan' to have me take them to the range or just go for a ride on my Harley with me... Ahhhhh...life is good...we all should get there...sometime! I have no complaints! Stay safe...stay alive! ret ![]()
