Wife now understands why i have guns and carry

This is an article on the excitement we had around or house last Wed.
It was like martial law. Trooper armed with m14's and ar15 at every corner of town.
A cruiser parked 100 feet from the house and a plane and helicopter circling over head. With the house locked down like Fort Knox. Only going out for a quick smoke (kids in house) my wife was a nervous wreck.
I tried to comfort her by explaining to her the advantages we had in the house and had he tried to enter, it would make a lot of noise. I would then be ready for him.
At about midnight i was outside for one of my smokes when i heard a splash in my pond behind the house, with a quick scan with the mag light i saw someone go into the tree line.
I then hiked down to the cruiser park near my house and informed the trooper.
Within minutes my front yard was full of cars. Well, the rest is in the article.http://bangordailynews.com/news/t/ci...138&zoneid=176

Indeed, things can happen any old time - and here we can assume is a 16 year old who is well on his way being a career criminal. Brings it home somewhat when it's on one's own patch!!

Could well have been his attacking could have left him injured or dead. Wonder if he had considered that. Guess not.

Good job!

I have had the police run through the back yard a couple of times. My wife was glad I am armed and she knows how to use all my guns! Sounds like a good oppertunity to bring her out shooting! Then get her own and then a carry permit if she does not have one.
