Retire it.
If you don't want to retire it, you might install a Commander style hammer and beavertail as drop in parts. You could shoot it this way, but keep the original parts to replace to keep the gun original.
http://www.brownells.com/ Or see your local gunsmith. BTW, on mine, I just cut the hammer spur off completely. Never had a problem. Easy job for you or the smith, and you could use a cheap surplus hammer. I would charge between $20 and 30 depending on how much cutting and how complicated a trigger job. |
