pistol racks

I have been looking for a pistol rack for my gun safe.

I found one that stores the pistols upright and one that stores them upside down.

Not sure if this is a dumb question or not, but is there any issue with storing them upside down?

Yeah there is. It will hurt your neck when you want to look at them.

I cant think of any issue's of storing them upside down.

I have one of the ones that stores them upside-down, and I have never noticed any ill effects. As far as I know, either one should work fine.

I just didn't know if there was any issue with oil run-off into the firing pin or anything like that.

Browning sells some pretty neat straps for holding your pistols that will velcro to the inside of your safe door. It leaves the shelves for other stuff (or more pistols) and keeps your pistols accessible. I have used them for the last four years and haven't had any problems with them at all. Its also pretty cool to open up the safe and see twelve pistols hanging on the door.

I found one that will hold 9 handguns very nicely. I got it in Lowes in the kitchen accessories Dept. It is normally sold as a Pot Lid Holder. It is made of heavy duty, vinyl coated wire, occupies minimal space and sells for about $10.00. I store them upside down and have had no problems.
