Interesting Photo

I came across this photo and thought it very interesting.
I think the gun is a Desert Eagle, if anyone knows different speak up.
I just thought it was a very well timed photo.

Actually it's a bad handload. If all of that powder and gas is burning outside the barrel it is doing nothing for bullet performance.

In revolvers (which need no gas to re-cycle any action), slower powders have some benefit. Again, they must be matched to the firearm. I get good performance in my 629-5 with a six inch barrel if I load A/A#5 or A/A#7. Any load made with A/A#9 faces the same issues. Blue-Dot is good for revolvers, as well.

I'd load a few rounds made from A/A#2 and A/A#5 and have the guy try them. The flash would disappear, but the FPS would increase and the bullet would fly flatter.

Here are a couple of other "Interesting" Photos.

The 50BMG "Experience".

I enjoyed firing these rifles, but it's not something I want to do often.

The muzzle blast is horrible. Even ear muffs with plugs don't dampen the blast much. And the over-pressure will blow your hat off your head.

But WOW!!
