I agree with raider39a I like to see woman shooting and packing,I teach the cch for this area and get alot of woman in the class,My wife and daughter both shoot as does my girlfreinds.

Just a thought, but if the gun and spare mag are all you're wearing under the cover shirt, the looks might not have anything to do with guns. :wiggle:

I have been taking my 18 year old daughter to the range, when our schedules coincide and have been trying to get my 23 year old daughter there. She is interested but busy and has not found the time. My 18 year old is interested in getting her CCP in three years, we will see if that interest lasts. In the mean time I’ll keep working on them.

My bride just joined the ranks of armed women...her Mother's Day present was a Kimber ProCarryII in .45ACP. She does well with my full size 1911 and I suppose a trip to range for familiarization with and break in of the pistol will tell the tale.

I have had other women tell me in other rooms that I should be able to go into the worse neighborhoods with nothing but "good will and a smile". After I fight off the urge to voimt...I have to reflect that these women have never seen the ugly side of life. If it ever catches them, it will destroy them. If they live through the encounter, they will have to live with their ideal of "Pollyannaism" being shattered. I have seen the ugly side. I don't go to the worse neighborhoods unless it is unavoidable and never without my weapon. My weapon gives me security to know that if the evil that is in our society confronts me, I have a fighting chance to make it out alive. My weapon is a equalizer. I wouldn't give up that freedom for any fairytale ideal.

I have two nieces like that I pray God protects them because they won’t protect themselves. They both live in California so no one else will protect them either.
