Virginia Tech Shooting discussion (Merged +3)

Looks like there's an ongoing shooting at Virginia Tech down in Blacksburg. Hope all are safe. Looks like they have the campus locked down.

Shooting at Virginia Tech, shooter still at large.

Someone got shot at Virginia Tech college. The shooter got away (so far).

People are going to die because of backwards logic. Lets ban guns on campus so no one can shoot anyone else, because you can't shoot anyone without a gun right...

To save you the time, this is their CCW policy

from http://www.policies.vt.edu/5616.pdf

"2.2 Prohibition of Weapons
The university’s employees, students, and volunteers, or any visitor or other third party attending a sporting,
entertainment, or educational event, or visiting an academic or administrative office building or residence hall, are
further prohibited from carrying, maintaining, or storing a firearm or weapon on any university facility, even if the owner has a valid permit, when it is not required by the individual’s job, or in accordance with the relevant
University Student Life Policies."

Current count is 1 dead, 17 wounded, one gunman in custody, but shootings occurred at opposite ends of the campus, so there was more than one shooter. Apparently there have also been multiple bomb threats on campus within the past month too.

Holy hell, this is horrible, I have heard that they were reporting automatic weapon fire, whether from the gunmen or the swat/police, who knows. I doubt a handgun was the weapon used..
