9mm Conversion Barrel Question
I've been thinking about buying a 9mm barrel for one of my .40S&W guns (SIG P226, 239 and a Glock G23), not sure which one yet.
First question: What's the difference between a "Semi drop in" and a "Match Target" barrel (these are the 2 types sold by Bar-Sto)? Second question: I only know of Bar-Sto, KKM sold by Glockmeister, Lone Wolf Distributors. Who else is out there that makes barrels, and who would you recommend?

Don't know about Glocks but with 1911's semi-drop means there is a moderate amount of work needed to fit the barrel to your slide.
The match Target means there is a lot of work needed to fit the barrel to the slide. Both probably needs to be done by a gunsmith. |

Check with EFK Firedragon Barrels I have 3 of them for my XD's and they all are very good products that did really drop in no fitting work required.

I don't know about conversion barrels for the Sigs, but if you want a good accurate and fair priced 9mm conversion barrel for your G23, I would look at Lone Wolf Dist.'s own brand of barrels. You can get one of their stock length, ported or threaded 9mm conversion G23 barrels for $99.95. Their own brand of barrels are match grade, but have been pre-fitted, so they drop-in with no gunsmithing required. Here is the link on their web page:

I agree with AZGlock13; I have the drop in .357 sig for my gG23.

IF you're going to do the Sig route, just buy a factory barrel.
Ebay, gunbroker, Sigforum classifieds, whatever. The thing on switching calibers is that your existing sights may not be dead on any more - usually they're combat-accurate on a B27 to, say 10-15m, but that's about it unless you're real lucky.
