Just a little bit of help...

Guys,

My family is finally moving out of the wonderful state of New Jersey at the end of next month, to the much freer state of Indiana. I'm moving with them, which means that I have to transport my firearms.

For security's sake (the firearms, not mine), I'd rather move them in my car, when I go out there, however, that might not be possible. My second option is to send them with my parents.

Are there any legal issues with this? Is it legal to transport them from one state to another, without the express reason of going to the range, etc.

We have to cross PA, Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky. Any help you can send to me would be great.

Thanks,

Jim

All the states you'll be passing through are a-ok... just have them unloaded and secure.

Like Sixto says, just have them unloaded and secured in a hard case with a lock or the trunk or something.

They are your posessions, in your vehicle, no legal issues as long as properly transported.
