Prayers have been sent. I am glad to hear that the situation appears to be a little better than you had first feared, Mike.

Gee, it's hard to say a lot in a situation like this. I hope the girl is alright, and I would bet that the kid and his family is worried sick also. A long time ago I bought my son a BB pistol as his friends had them also. Now my son had been taught at a young age gun safety. He got in on the end of a glass shooting expedition. He not only got the BB gun taken away but the 870 shotgun that I'd gotten him for Christmas. He didn't get it back for about a year and after much pleading and convincing me that something like that would never happen again. Yep, I had to help pay damages for broken windows even if he only shot one, he was still part of it. It cost the others parents also. And I agree with others the city is no place for a kid to be shooting a .22 rifle. I'm praying that all goes well for her.

Mike, been out all day and just read this. All families, yours, the girl's, and the shooter's are in my prayers. Keep us informed. Tragic happening that can potentially ruin several lives. As you get more details about how it happened let us know.

Hey, great to see the first part of everyone's prayers has been answered. Praise be, and lets keep them rolling for a good recovery for everyone involved, especially that girl.

Thanks for the update. I hope you are able to continue to give even better ones in the coming days.

Jesse

How do we know the kid "accidently" shot her? Kid's can be very evil, more so than some adults...either way I am praying for her...this situation totally sucks and the parents will be charged I am assuming.

Why in gods name would a 10 yr be loose with a 22
the 22 is the most dangerus gun you ever give a
kid . I gave my son (at 10yr) a 410
that way he could not shoot someone
a mile away
If the young one has a gun .Its the parents
who should carry the weight .

No armchair quarterbacking comments are appropriate at this point, so I'll just say a prayer for the girl and her family....
Please update on her condition.....

I am very pleased to see that her condition is much less dire than it first appeared. I'll be looking forward to updates on her progress. May God be with her (Looks like He has already intervened) and her family.
