I picked-up a S&W M&P 9mm for $399.00 at Bud's Gun Shop (422.00 with tax). If you purchase from their website, shipping and fees will of course send it further over your max cost...but it's still a great price. And they have them in 40SW at that price too.

Well, if I were looking for a handgun for possible use on various assorted predatory creatures and possibly those that are coming at me then I personally would choose a semi-auto handgun with a crisp, single action trigger rather than a DAO but, that is just my opinion concerning what would work best for me.

I need to find a pistol with a nice SA trigger to try and shoot; so far I am a fan of DAO pistols; I have no problem hitting what I am aiming at with them.
