Picked this one up after shooting it again a impressive gun The trigger group is all volquartsen the sights Williams Shot it out to 25 yards and got a quarter sized 5 shot group which is impressive for iron sights my Cz bolt gun will do that but with a scope so i was impressed and picked it up has about a 3# trigger pull ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Those are nice little guns. Back in the day, my Air force buddy and I would go through a brick of 500 rounds 2 or 3 times a week. He had a 10/22 and I had a tube fed marlin which was a bit more accurate but way slower to load. He had a 90 round magazine for his gun. Lots of fun, but I seem to remember paying for 1/2 of the ammo. Hey! I need to make an angry phone call!

I think the Volquartsen trigger is perhaps the best single mod'.
I have much enjoyed shooting someone elses, altho it did have some feed issues. I think either that or the Marlin serve well for small game and fun plinking. Oh and re LBrombach's comment re the loading for Marlin - there is a good speed loader for that which makes a lotta difference. It holds 15 rounds x 8 and can be loaded before range session - very quick Excuse thread drift ![]() ![]()

That is a rather cool looking stock you have on it. At least with buying 2 firearms today they are both the same caliber and both cheap to shoot.

Very nice. I feel the stock trigger group is the weak point of the 10/22. Looks great in that set up Bud. The international style stock sure is nice. Looks like an extended mag release too. I have used a 10/22 for years plinking, hunting and camping.
Check out Eagle brand mags for the 10/22. I have found them to be the most reliable and you can clean em out. stay away from Ramline, they suck.

Good looking Ruger, Bud. Like several others have mentioned the wood is very good looking. I don't recall seeing a 10/22 with a Mannlicher stock before. It looks great. Obviously it shoot well too.

10/22's are evil
That one sure looks sweet Bud. I keep refraining from buying another one although I would love to. I bought a used stock target model (heavy barrel) with a nice scope for 300 awhile back. One of my favorite guns to shoot. Comes with me almost every trip to the range. After checking out rimfire central I have been thinking about making a really nice one...when I can save the money.
