It's a gun shop. I have guns abounding to compare to.
Anything and everything... I was just thinking of maybe the three most commonly owned guns.

But before I threadjack this fine thread again, that is a whole other topic.

My range report on the EMP is here:

http://www.threatfocused.com/forums/...read.php?t=918

I carried mine through the 1940 mile bike trip to Knoxville a few months ago, and while there for 9 days of training. Packs light on the hip, conceals very well due to it's overall width and general size.

Nice gun, good write up limatunes. Hope you enjoy it.

Lima,

It's a "AWESOME" 1911 isn't it? Next time I'm comming up thru your area I'll bring my S/A Micro Compact Loaded .45 for you to try.

Lima, since you asked - how about a picture of the EMP with your Colt Mustang. The Mustang is a small modified 1911 design and I would think that compare the EMP with the Mustang and the fullsize 1911 would give a good indication of its size.

Thanks.

I'd be interested to see haw it stacks up against a SIG 239, my favorite "little" gun.

I really hate to be the negative one here but the EMP has not stacked up to good for us. The ones we have had come thru classes were plagued with problems, (others I know who teach have had similar experiences). They may look cool, feel good even, but the test is will they run and not break down? So far no.

As for comparison to the SIG 239, the 239 will be shooting a long time before the EMP even starts to catch up and for the cost of the EMP it should run and not create problems. When I mention run I don't mean a box of 50, I am talking about utter reliability like 2000 rounds with maybe a wipe down at half way in the heat, dirt and sweat of being carried and shot.

Both are married and you wouldn't want them...
Their idea of custom leather is Coach bags, not holsters.

A very good write up as usual.

I hate to admit this, but when Rhome left for the Philippines, he gave me his EMP. Plus 8 other pistols. You're right Lima, they are great. Mine was used (50 rounds), but if I hadn't been given one, I would buy one!
