Blank Slides for 1911
I have a quick question regarding 1911 custom work.
Is there any manufacturer that provides a quality 1911 with a completely blank slide. No markings Engravings etc.? Thank you for any input. |

I would be willing to bet that many of the custom makers would build you a complete firearm with no markings save for the serial number.
The Colt Custom Shop would probably be willing to build you one without any slide roll markings or likely Caspian also. |

I know you can get a Les Baer that way, for a start.

My Dan Wesson came that way. only thing on the slide are jacking serrations on the rear of the slide, All engravings are on frame. Very small bit of what looks to be acid etching on just one side but other than just a bunch of shiny SS.

Dan Wesson was my first thought toward commercial off the shelf.
I'd bet most any mfrs. 'custom shop' would do same for you if you asked. - Janq

THank you all, I'll just start contacting some of the MFGR's and see what they have to say. A friend just showed me some of his own work and i would love to have a blank "canvas" for him to work on.

a few
I own a few ProMags, no markings at all for my 1911A's. I also have two Wilson combat mags for my Defender with no markings except on the plastic butt of the mag. For my Commander I have not been able to find much.
Which model are you shooting? |
