Cowboy pistols?
where can I find a pistols that looks like something like cowboys used to shoot that actually work but arent ball ammo?

Ruger makes modern versions of "cowboy" guns, as does Navy Arms, American Frontier Firearms, Rossi, EAA, and several others...

I have two Ruger "New Vaqueros" that I use for Cowboy Action Shooting, as well as a Colt SAA.
Single Action "Cowboy Guns" are fun to shoot. ![]() Biker ![]()

If you want hell for stout, Ruger is the way to go. If you want a more traditional look and the "half-cock" four click action, Colt, USFA and as mentioned Aldo Uberti who makes most of them for the importers listed above.
