Better Buy that New M1 Garand now

Straight from Springfield
Bud,
Unfortunatly, that rumor is true. Production on the Garand has halted due to a lack of parts availability. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you.

Sincerely,
Terry Bowers

Wait...I don't get it. Isn't "production" making the parts? That doesn't make sense to me. What am I missing?

Or get a CMP Garand while they are still available. I think they were using existing parts left over for the U.S. military to build M1's.

OK, that makes sense, still using some of the old parts. I feel better now. I didn't realize they were doing this.
