If you had to refinish a glock who or what to use.

Im looking at tradeing for a mod 22 that was carried quite a bit.
I know looks don't hurt function, but this being my first glock i'am note sure what the factory finish on the slide is.
I alsohave a few more that could use a makeover.
I here alot about teflon coating is it a good way to go or is there a better option??? and who would you recommend? and 1 more around how much would this process cost?
Thanks in advance guys (and a few girls) nice and pc. oh yea wrong forum

Glock finnish is Tenifer!

TENIFER
Unique GLOCK hi-tech surface refinement for barrel and slide. Apart from optimum corrosion protection and anti-reflective finish, a degree of hardness of 64 HRC - close to that of a diamond - is achieved.

A great finnish and what I would refinish one is again if it were me.

Also, Robar has great finishes available, some reading to keep you busy. The cost depends on how much you want done and with what finish. minimum of $100 - $200.00 without shipping depending on what you go with.

Robar Precision Firearm Finishing

ETA- you put this in the holster section? you must have holsters on the brain or something!

Send it back to Glock. They'll refinish it for a small fee. The black finish on a Glock is just black oxide, the tennifer is underneath that and that doesn't wear off.

Duracoat it! Then you'd have a custom Glock! Or send it back to Glock.

I actually prefer Glocks with some of the finish worn off. It shows character. If I didn't like it I guess I'd send it back to Glock. They obviously know what they're doing. Or maybe a local Glock armorer could help?

Why would you want to alter what is already one of the premier finishes available on any firearm? A word of advice here: just because the black wears off doesnt mean that the Tenifer has worn at all. In fact, I can assure you it has not. I'm sure Glock would be more than happy to replace the worn black outer caoting for cosmetic appearances, but as for replacing the Tenifer for something else, I think that is just a waste of money, because only hard chroming compares in hardness.

I have a G34, which I will leave just the way it is......
