Introduced TONS of new people to shooting
First a little background. I am proud to attend one of the few universities in the world with a shooting range and a pistol club. This semester (which fortunately and unfortunatly is my last) I am the president of the pistol club, and have taken it upon myself to get more people evolved. The club is a nice group of people, but not large by any means. We are open 2x per week for 2 and 3 hours. (although we do have a IDPA style club as well open 2x per week). anyways, we have 8 stalls, and we would normally consider it a busy night if they were all being used. (unless its a rush or some other big event).
So last weekend I put up a bunch of nice posters around school as well as table tents in the dorm cafeterias. Results: In the 2 hours we were open last night, we have 50 completely new shooters , plus a lot of people who had been down before, and were returning for a second time, and of course a few regulars as well. It was crazy. we had long lines at each stall. We were packing people into our 'safety room' for safety / gun handling training. despite the crowd, everyone had tons of fun. We were short handed since we arnt used to this many people (there were 4 range officers). but it all turned out great. by the end of the night we actually were sold out of ammo (we had at least 3000-4000 rounds, plus whatever people brought with them). All in all it turned out great I love introducing people to shooting. always makes me feel good. Oh, and this was all despite the huge snow storm we had last night. (we actually had school canceled today! ... -35F wind chill just for starters) I also went out to get more ammo last night so that we would have enough for tomorrow. (expecting another big crowd). wallyworld was practically sold out from the last time i was there. so i had to go to the local hunting store and buy them out. so if anyone is looking for cheap .22LR in our little town and cant find any, im sorry, thats my fault. ![]()

Hell yeah!! I love doing that, myself. But it sounds like you've got a much better set-up for it. Way to go! Man I'd love to come help out at a club like that. Club VP right here! haha

As Mr. Incredible would say, you are just doing your part.
