I have a P232 and carry it from time to time. It is kiss simple, no safeties, just pull and go to work. Very accurate. The grip is a bit wide, but it is light (I have the alloy version) and it carries well IWB. Fairly reliable, but does occassionally doublefeed when it gets dirty, which is a pia to clear with the heel mag release.

I carried a P232 for several months and still have the gun. I did not like it because at least once a month, I go to the range and shoot what I have been carrying. On two occassions, the little SIG stovepiped the first round. What I learned is that it likes to be pretty well lubricated and clean and it is pretty fussy about the ammo.

The ammo I found that worked the best was the Corbon Powerballs. They have a shape which lets them sit in the magazine better than the flat nosed hollow points. I also found out that S&B does not do well for target ammo for the P232, the primers seem to be too hard.

If I wanted to clean it every day, it would probably be a nice carry gun, but a little underpowered.

Have the blued 232 alloy frame version w/NS and Nill grips. It feeds any ammo used. Never had a malfunction.

My wife has a 232. For a .380, it's fantastic. As previously mentioned, many consider the .380 too light for good self defense. I would be happier if my wife had at least a 9mm. However, she's happy with the 232, she can operate it well with her arthritic limitations, and she is better off with something she will use than something she leaves home.

All that said, go to [url=http://www.buffalobore.com] and read the write-up on the .380 and look at the ballistics on his .380+P ammo. It's impressive and works well with the Sig 232. Hope this helps.
