Years ago I worked at a music store and got the call from the alarm company that there'd been a break in.

I arrived right on the heels of the police and waited outside as they cleared the store. They'd been in just a minute when I heard: "Get down!" "GET DOWN!" "GET! DOWN! NOW!".

It was about this time both officers sheepishly realized that Eddie Van Halen was not, in fact, burgling our store but that they'd drawn down on a lifesize cardboard standup.

I have a friend who use to buy manaquins(spelling?) at the flea market from some junk guy and they made great targets .

That's going to take a lot of ammo.

It looks like BraBra could completely conceal a round of .45 in each nostril with no one the wiser, so that might be more of a job for a 12 gauge.

Will's face could be easily obscured so nobody gets any wrong ideas.

I don't know if you could hit that, it would scare the bullets away.

Well, it seems that I've found a good source for...

Targets.

You know, the life sized silhouettes of movie stars, on heavy cardboard stock, that the stores use to promote new DVD releases. When they're done with them, they just throw them away.

I picked up this one of Will Smith (I Am Legend) today. And no, this has no racial overtones, and yes, my club's range has no target restrictions.

Now I just have to find one of George Clooney.

Is that one of them there 'man purses'?
