The company open the door.

Recently at the company I currently work for they took a survey and ask this questions, " Do you feel that the security measures and procedures at my facility are commensurate with today's security concern?" The answer was pretty much no. So they are asking for comments and putting together a forum to make the workers feel more secure. This work place is a government contract facility (no weapons allowed on property) and has guards are every gate (no weapons) and you need have a badge to come into this place. Talking with my employees they all feel the need to be able to carry concealed and at least be able to leave their weapons locked in their cars. This will be interesting to see how the powers that be will handle it. I'll keep you post.

I think you pretty much answered your own question as to how it will be handled.

Government facility and common sense approach are seldom used in the same sentence...good luck!

You have more security than we do at my work. They will never allow you to carry while under a government contract I would guess.

I'd suggest gun lockers at the security gate, then you could carry to and from work. That would be the best you could do on Government prop.

Good luck.

Since you can't carry by law, they should arm the guards.

I work in a plant in the PRC (notice I didn't give the location or the product manufactured!!) and it is just flat wide open. Any nut case or recently fired employee can march in at any time and fire away. When/if it happens I'm sure some upper level management type will tell the press that "It was just not something you could predict". HORSE FEATHERS!!

My office gets to deal with some of the more colourful people of our city, CCW is not even an option sadly, however I have trained our frontdesk lady how to use the bearspray we have and keeps a can by her computer, along with a locked front door she can buzz open. I also keep a can of bearspray at my desk along with some other tools to deal with stuff.

I've always been concerned about my wife being a volunteer "cash counter" at her church.
Every other week her group meets at the parish office to count the Sunday offerings, a considerable amount which is in cash - particularly after Easter & Christmas when the "holiday" Catholics make their rare appearance.

Of course there is no security and no guns, just a few women and a couple of men.

Wife doesn't mess with guns at all.
