I think that if the global recession continues, we will see a drop in demand for commodities, which has already occured with oil. Industrial demand should slow. That should ease prices for metals and ammo prices may actually come down some. At least we can hope they do.

I wouldn't worry about not being able to buy a handgun, after the Heller decision, they probably won't be banning handguns in the near future. ARs and AKs may be a different story if the "New Messiah" gets into office.

I wasn't as worried about being able to buy a handgun as much as the price rising a lot. Another option I was considering was buying a nice AR and keeping it boxed up somewhere. If the AWB is enacted I should be able to sell it for a profit.

I went to J&G sales here in Prescott AZ and people were knee deep purchasing arms and ammo. One overheard comment struck me. "when you know who becomes pres, he will add 500% tax on ammo". Know what, I bought more than I planned. j3313 PS keep your powder dry!

I bought some more ammo yesterday after voting. Brought my inventory up to about a thousand rounds per caliber. I'd be stocking up more ammo before the new president gets sworn in with the ???? Will it be the Bible or the Koran????
