I already bought my AR15 and now I am looking at a Remington 870 with some customizations of course.

Already started ordering mags and ammo for the .223.

I'm curious how many are training with the weapons they're stocking up on.

In the very near future I'm expecting a few Superior Arms stripped receivers, potentially more depending on how the deal goes down. I've got a handgun on the way, and now I'm working on an AR. BushCo's tax rebate should help with that.

Come to think of it, a lot of folks here might benefit from that rebate. Even a few hundred bucks can go a long ways for ammo and mags.

I'll stock up on lots of stuff and simplify my collection to help fund the work.

I plan on taking my “stimulus” check and buy AR lowers.

I use to wait till almost closing time on Sunday at gun shows in the 90s and then make offers on cases of 7.62X39, 5.56 and 7.62X51 so the venders didn’t have to pack it all out. I have ammo and mags.

You can't have too many belt-fed weapons.

For us, the Senate and House elections may be more important than the Presidential.

It's going through the Senate now, and they're trying to alter it.

Short and sweet: $600 for singles, $1200 for married couples, some kind of bonus per kid (I think $300). The more you make, the less you receive. I think $75K is the upper limit for singles and $150k combined is the upper limit for married couples, and anything above these limits you get less than the full amount.

So for me, I can basically cover the upper I want, take a picture of it and send the picture with a "Thank You" letter to my Senators, or be "responsible" and pay off anything on my card or save it for next semester. Real tough decision, that.

Aside from a firearm, I think it's a good way to start up reloading kit (Lee hand press for when you're bored at work...) and buy enough brass, powder, and bullets to keep you busy for a while. Unless my math is off, it's still cheaper per bullet to reload all of the common American rounds than to buy the good stuff (otherwise you can still go the surplus ammo route). Owners of com bloc guns will be happier, since there's still a ton of 7.62x39 surplus (here and here, for instance, scroll down a ways on the second link) out there and even half a grand can stock you up for a while.
