Please tell me how you're planning to make the sand backstop. My daughter is highly motivated to keep lead out of the ground, and I would like to humor her.

Just going to build a roof line off the back hill there and place about four feet of sand under that, plus a front stop to keep the sand in there and dry. And with any luck screen the lead out of there annually.

Just have to get the numbers of how deep the sand is going to be, so the lead doesn't pass through, and keeping it dry is my other objective. We have well water so I'd also like to have runoff to a minimum.

I'll update some pics when that is complete.

Thats pretty cool. Dream would be to have a range on my land... Wonder how much a guy would spend though on shooting supplies..
