Where else do you ever really need them, anyway? I have other ID that I can show if I'm asked for ID somewhere. And with them in the center console, I can grab them quickly and easily if pulled over, and without making a big commotion.

I've only ever been pulled over once, and the officer was a bit surprised when I handed him an envelope with everything he'd need. He must have liked it, because he gave me a warning for 12 over

Peace,
Pete Zaria.
You are on the right track. I keep my reg and insurance card in the center console. Waited for the officer to come up with both hands on the wheel window down. After he requested my reg/insurance and license I retrieved from center concole/back pocket. Handed requested documents also with my CCW on top. Officer inquired was I armed, I responded yes. He replied thanks for telling me and do me a favor and keep my hands on the wheel. Upon his return he said thank you and told me have a great day. I was told that is the best way to handle it. Go about it as if you are not armed concerning movement. Just put your CCW on top so the Officer will see and than repliy yes when they ask. Movement causes some LEO's to become a bit alarm.
