Show and Tell

Aquired a Polish Radom P35 9mm made under German occupation in 1943 from a neighbor last year. His father had captured it along with it's holster and two matching magazines in the battle of the bulge. The front sight is small but it shoots nicely. I read the Radom P35 was mostly issued to the SS and the Navy.

lever

The slide lever is a decocker for the hammer, the lever at the rear of the frame is a take down lever to hold the slide to the rear.

Before the Russians came storming through Poland in 1944 the Germans moved the Radom factory tooling from Poland to Austria and continued to make the P35 but simplified the manufacture by eliminating the take down lever and poorer finish.

My Ruger P90 .45 had the same kind of decocker lever on both sides of the gun. It is a great safety feature. Pressing down one side automatically depressed the other side at the same time.
