But I have bought ammo at Bass Pro and my favorite gun shop and the all important local gun shows. So botton line ... we all shop were we need to or where we must. I do shop at all the above mentioned locations depending on what I am looking for or where my wife has managed to manuliplate my day. Where ever you shop just remember how blessed we are to be able to find it, afford it, and actually purchase it. Only in America, Is this a great country or what?

The whole Wally World thing is a funny ritual. You will not be chased out of DC if you don't carry in WW for the first time. We had people that did their trip in a Target, others went to their favorite eatery or went to the movies or just drove around town. It is just a place with lots of people so you get used to the idea and feel comfortable carrying your gun and Wally World is almost everywhere so even if we are separated my great distances, we have that in common.

However I did read somewhere that going to Beds, Baths and Beyond will not be considered a valid trip

I don't see the problem here. It's just a place to go that most people on here has access to to get use to being around alot of people. If someone has a beef with Walmart and would rather go elsewhere, no one on this forum is going to shun them.

How about you get your permit and you go down to the local gun store where they appreciate you and your choice to carry a gun and spend a little money there instead?
Easy fella! Its mostly a friggin joke! Just some fun for those that want to participate. If you dont like the Wal Mart thing, no one broke your arm to make you open the threads.

What better place to carry your gun than into a place that is trying to make it hard for us to do just that?? Stick it in their face!

I spend my money at gun shops. I spent over $1000 in the past two months at my local tactical gun boutique AD-Tek. I also purchase a lot over the internet with Bravo Company, Model 1 Sales, Ammunition to go etc. I buy a box or two of Blazer Brass a couple times here and there from Wal Mart, but nothing near what I spend at gun specific shops.

Chill out a little and let people have their fun. If its not for you then dont read the posts.

I not only shop at Wal-Mart, but my wife has worked there for 18+ years. Shop where you want. If you like paying more for the same item, made in the same place, go for it. I wish more people thought like that. The place would be a little less crowded. Wal-Mart bashing threads are funny, even if they are uninformed.

BTW- I get a 10% discount on my ammo, too.

I don't know of a gun shop that would allow concealed carry. On the other hand: Many corner stores (aka "stop and robs") are more appropriate for a first trial. You may even get to show off your drawing skills if you hit the 9:30pm hold up.

Disagree all you want, but that's what it boils down to.
I konw this I'll never interfere with anything Sgt. Mack is doing. That guy looks big & scary. I'd bet he can shoot a little too.

We do must of our shopping with the local stores. I get my ammo at our local gun stores. But I also enjoy going to WW, the prices are good and our WW has a Mickie D's. Now I'm hungry for a big mack.

Cheap and less-expensive don't always go together. In Wally's case, they do. So, it's elsewhere for me. The reduced quality of many things simply isn't a value, to me. The value to 'you people' might vary (aka, YMMV).

I'm very selective on what I buy at walmart, I just can't stand that made in China or Mexico tag, so I try to buy things made in the USA, if they are cheaper at Walmart then so be it, I'll buy it there.
