As part of your new permit holder ritual? Man I am sick and tired of hearing how you get your permit and take a ride to a place that has aligned itself with anti-gun Mayor Bloomberg.
![]() ![]() ![]() Wal-Mart joins Bloomberg in anti-gun position | Red Pills How about you get your permit and you go down to the local gun store where they appreciate you and your choice to carry a gun and spend a little money there instead?

Well, I guess you could start another Wal-Mart bashing thread to go along with the other 5 that are currently running.
That, or you could tell me where else I can buy groceries, sporting goods, clothing, etc at good prices. You could also mention alternatives...I don't have a 'local gun' store. I don't even know how far a 'local' gun store would be from me, but I know Wal-Mart is 4 miles away. The gas is cheaper. The groceries are cheaper. The employees are good people. If you don't like it that's fine, but really, if you choose not to go every place that has some affiliation with the anti-gun movement, you're going to end up sitting at home. And I'll up the claim and bet that half of the things you have in your home can be traced to some sort of group that favors 'responsible' or 'common sense' legislation.

Well, Wally World hasn't always been as bad as they are now getting. That being said, it's just kind of convenient because everywhere has a Wally, and they are a place to go and get used to carrying around people, and you can usually get ammo while there.
I'd be all for the inagural bass pro shops trip, but there aren't enough Bass Pro's for that.

There may not be a gun store near you but is price your only consideration for everything else you buy? What I am trying to change is this silly notion that a trip there should be the first consideration of a CC permit holder when that corporation has gone to lengths to alienate gun owners. People are bragging about their first trip and it just seems to be in direct opposition to what we as gun owners and CC permit holders are all about. I find it hard to believe that they would build a Wal-Mart near you but there are no other stores to buy staples. My local Cub may also be anti-gun but they haven’t posted it and I haven’t read of any corporate action similar to Wally World concerning them. So until I do I will shop there for example. I can get good ammo prices on the net at several sites.
I know they are convenient, and I know they have good prices, and I am sure the employees are nice people for the most part. If there are 5 other threads bashing their corporate policy then maybe there is something to it and they deserve it.

![]() Does the local gun shop carry Nacho?? ![]() ![]() I'm not a big fan of Walmart, but they do have good prices on many items. K-Mart are driving themselves out of business, and linking up with Sears is not going to pull them out of the soup. Target, in my opinion they are worse than Walmart. Their sporting goods department sucks, they won't even carry magazines that deal with guns or huntinng. |

Having said that, I really don't like the crowded aisles at Wal-Mart and find the management to be quite pissy most of the time. I don't like the fact that my store has a store full of people and only have 30% of the registers open at a time. I swear management isn't happy unless each (open) register has a l o n g line of people waiting to check out. But, alas, it is what it is.

The nearst gun dealer is in Duncan, OK; 40 miles away: His prices are very high. About ten years ago i had the guy order a Ruger #1 for me. He did not want to order a Ruger. He is a Browning stocking dealer and tried to sell me a Browning single shot. Insisted on the Ruger and he "ordered" it. One year later my gun had not come in and i cancelled the order and the gun dealer.
No thanks i'll go to Wal-Mart. |

You don't.
YOU make YOUR choices, and as long as they don't interfere with MY rights, I respect that. I make MY choices, and as long as they don't interfere with YOUR rights, I expect you to respect that. Disagree all you want, but that's what it boils down to. |

The closest Wal-Mart to me quit carrying firearms last year. Now they've quit carrying ammo too. And this is in gun-friendly Arizona! Could it be I'm the only one who spoke English in there?
