I have no problem with leaving my guns in my vehicle on the way to or from the range. I am lucky to live in an area with a fairly low crime rate. I am no fool and think that nothing can happen but for short time in a parking lot is not a problem.

Only problem with leaving the guns in the car left unattended is the BGs only take a few seconds to do their thing and "puff", you gun is gone. That given, I still do leave mine in the car and just hope I get back before something ugly happens!

I really don't like too, but I would for those "No-No" places like (Banks, Post Offices,etc...)

i would not. if i'm going to the range, and have multiple firearms, i always have company, so if i need to make a stop, my guns are supervised. i carry two guns with me on a normal day: my main gun, a S&W sigma, and a keltec p3at in my pocket. if a store doesn't like it, i can spend my money elsewhere. the only business where i took issue with their policy is my bank. i've had an account there for over 10 years. one day, an assisstant manager told me that i was breaking the law by bringing a gun into the bank. i politely corrected her, and told her banks were NOT off limits in PA. i also informed her that if it was such a big problem, i'd withdraw all my money, and close my accounts, as would everyone in my family with an account there. that's about 12 people; for a small local bank, that's a big deal. i never heard about it again.

I have certain guns in my collection that are "truck" guns. They live in the tuck most of the year.
I do have a range right by my office that I often shoot at over lunch with co workers. So it is not uncommon to have a range bag with ammo and other guns sitting in the back seat all day. I do park in a gated garage with posted security guards. It is common to make a variety of stops, long and short on the way home from work though.

I probably would, but not make a habit of it. I would also be worried that the heat it can get to here would be bad for the guns or the ammo.

Anyone else in Texas keep guns in their car with no worries, like all day while at work?

I do, because I have no choice -- where I work, carrying (even with a CHL) is a felony.

Better to at least have it in the car with me if I need it than left at home wishing I had it.

And yes, I think about it quite often while at work...
