If I had to, I'd sell it rather than pawn it. Get more, and paying those pawnbroker fees ends up costing you money that you don't have to spare. I understand though that time is short, though...

If she has anything of value... PAWN THAT FIRST!
Then seek 100% custody and child support from her.

Good luck and God Bless.

I would much rather see you sell your firearms than pawn them.
keep your faith...if you have none...then now is the time to find some...

Are the Children hers as well? If so she should be paying child support. Seek an order immediately if she is leaving them. They deserve it.

Have you thought about Craigslist.org ?

Find some tools in the garage, camping gear, snow tires, old pictures, chairs, desks, stools, speakers, firewood, fans, music instruments, dishes, silverware....there's always someone out there who needs something. You might be surprised. I made over $500 when I cleaned out the garage just selling little nick nacks like the aforementioned. It adds up quick. It's all local, so people come to pick it up, and you don't even have to sign up for an account. Try it out. Good luck, man.

Here is your specific town for craigslist....just click post to classifieds in the top left...who knows, you've probably tried it already.

craigslist: springfield, MO classifieds for jobs, apartments, personals, for sale, services, community, and events

WAIT!!!! How many members do we have????

Why don't we all just send the man a few bucks, if 100 members sent $5 he would be much better off than what he will get for pawning his gun...he'll still have his gun...and we will have TRULY helped a fellow member.

$5 won't kill me, that's one can of dip or a pack or smokes or a six pack!

Let's band together and help a brother, that is what we are all about right?

Might look into whether any local church groups provide assistance. I like the craigslist idea.

This is somewhat of a stretch, but the federal government subsidizes university loans and gives out a lot of grants for that, especially if you're disabled. If you went to school you could live off that for years, especially if you do well enough to go to graduate school afterward. I get some living expenses paid in addition to tuition costs.

Might get you a skillset you can make money from despite your disability, too.
