The joke is in requiring new guns to be shipped with fired rounds to be contributed to a state forensics laboratory so that future crimes can supposedly be matched against a traceable gun. This is, of course, a joke because illegally purchased guns will never have these fingerprint rounds put into the system and, if they were in the system once, were used for crime after being stolen, so that the S/N trace is no longer relevant to the crime under investigation.

But according to Gun Facts and other sources the method is not effective in any way, due to the fact that but signiture changes with each round.

IE. The weapon that killed Martin Luther King Jr. was fire 18 times without providing 2 matching bullets.

Seems sort of parodoxial that we would support it as good evidence against a murderer, but say it is worthless when the same standard is applied to us.

One must be carefull, how they decide to fight evil, lest those methods be used against us.

That would be contrary to the FBI report regarding BG vs LEO shootings . Based their conclusions
A) BG's have murderous intent almost always firing the first shot, often giving them definitive advantage. A point many reviewing the report seem to miss.
B) The BG have a long history of criminal violence. Generally having been involved in other shootings prior to shooting an officer.
C) That armed BG practice more often than LEO generally do.
Granted the BG rarely if ever goes to a range or formal training course. They do shoot alot of beer cans. Remember they are part of an extreme gun culture. It is a false premise that BG's do not practice and practice often. If one were to assume the BG shooting at them is not highly skilled and trained, they could be making a fatal assumption. IMO the safest bet you can make is that the guy or gal shooting at you is highly trained and skilled. The point of course being that BG guns are shot often. Maybe more often that any legal gun. Illegal guns are change hands more often than legal guns. Often used by many different BGs. Traded exchanged or stolen from one BG to the next each "owner' often putting substantial rounds through it. Five, ten, fifteen BG shooting the same gun is going to cause a lot more wear than what the average gun sees. Making the test even less valid

The Constitution applies to all. It is a listing of rights of Man/Woman and applies to every living one of them no matter where they came from or what country they come from. It is simply a restriction upon the Federal Government by making certain things understood to be human rights that the Government cannot infringe. So it has to apply to every single living human regardless of their citizenship because we recognize that they are rights of all Man and Woman. Hence the recent Supreme Court decision on detainees in Cuba. It only makes sense that a country built on rights should respect that they apply to all. By the simple fact that they are born with these rights.

The beef is with the Immigration and Judicial system really. Not the constitution.
