One Gun = 10 Murders

GUN USED IN NEWARK MURDERS FOUND IN LONG ISLAND - New York Post

ONE GUN = 10 MURDERS

By KIERAN CROWLEY and ADAM NICHOLS

June 13, 2008 --

A gun used in the execution-style slaying of three New Jersey students was found after a Long Island gangbanger bragged to undercover cops that it had notched up 10 killings, officials said yesterday.

"It has 10 bodies on it," Alvaro DelGado, 25, said of the .357 Magnum, which Suffolk County cops discovered when they raided his home on March 24.

Ballistic tests proved the weapon was used to kill college students Iofemi Hightower, 20, Dashon Harvey, 20, and Terrance Aeriel, 18, in Newark last August. Aeriel's sister Natasha, 19, was badly wounded.

The four had been forced to kneel, and each was shot in the back of the head. A resident told The Post that the killings took place on a gang "initiation night," when members "hunt for people and kill them."

Cops believe the revolver was also used in at least another three killings in a deadly trail that crossed state lines.

It was found in the Bay Shore, LI, bedroom of DelGado, a high-ranking member of the notori- ous Salvadoran street gang MS-13, sources said.

"[He's] a member of one of the most violent street gangs law enforcement has ever encountered," said Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota yesterday.

"He's a vicious, violent criminal," the DA added.

Cops found the weapon, loaded with five bullets, beside a shotgun and another revolver in a dresser drawer in DelGado's bedroom when they raided his home.

They believe the second revolver had been used in at least one killing.

MS-13, unlike other criminal gangs, doesn't dump guns after hits, said Spota.

"They recycle their weapons," he said.

Police departments in other states want to test the weapons against homicides in their jurisdictions, he said, declining to identify the states.

DelGado, who uses the nickname "Lobo the Wolf," bragged of the Magnum's deadly history to cops amid Operation Impact, a six-month gun crackdown that has taken 31 weapons off the streets on Long Island. Newark cops arrested three adults and three juveniles within two weeks of the triple murder.

Spota said there was no evidence linking DelGado to the killings.

Possession of the murder weapon? I think that's enough evidence.

I remembered this same case with the 3 executed college students... I had to really wander why anyone would get on their knees knowing they are about to be shot in the back of the head... that sort of thing goes over my way of thinking because it's a definite death sentence right there... if they were to at lest fight for their lives, it would have given them a better statistical chance of living, even if it were very small at lest that would be better than waiting to be shot in the head while you're on your knees.

I also notice how these gang banger types love to brag about their cold blooded murders, it's like porn to these losers, their whole life's story is about taking innocent life and they joke about it to their home boys.

All the defence can claim is that he was a mis guided person who was holding the gun for his home boys, I hope they get as much evidence as possible because some of these street filth actual WALK when common sense tells them they are killers and that they will kill again if given the chance.

I deal with a lot of MS-13 in the course of my employment with "Uncle Sugar", as well as other gangs.

Let me just say I'm not a "fan" of gangs.

And MS-13 just LOVES our judicial system. Free room and board, ability to continue to conduct business, high probability of a walk, well established infrastructure to relocate while awaiting trial...

If my memory serves me correctly, we're not talking just a large gang, but rather thousands upon thousands (usually illegals) of members spread over most of the country.
This is a BIG problem that we will regret not stopping...further down the road. They love the 'criminal injustice system'...
