I hope your club ha s really good lawyer. Sadly my clubs fees tripled because they had to buy land to keep the developers out. Your club doesn't have that option. you guys are going to have to defend your selves forever!

Here in Missouri we just passed a "Range Protection Act" because of morons like those. Now they can build right next to the berm and can't do anything about the noise

Check it out just to check it out. Club is closed to non-members, except when there's a public match, like IDPA, IPSC, SASS, etc. Or, if you know a member, they can bring you in as a guest.

I'm not too worried about the club shutting down right now. It seems the legal action is being directed at the developer. I'll worry more when more worry is warranted.

Hehe I saw that cartoon in the paper yesterday Cthulhu. I am a member of this club, and just for kicks I drove past this development to see where it was in relation to the club. All I have to say is, someone didnt do their research when they were looking at new homes and I am betting that no agents showed homes there on weekends.

Member as well. During my orientation, the complaints of those idiots was discussed. Basically, the developers agreed to inform potential buyers about the club. Apparently, they never did.

I highly doubt noise will be a legal issue they can use, as the club was grandfathered for any noise ordinance. However, the orientation did make sure to impress upon us new members that safety was a prime concern, and that we needed to be diligent with following club rules, as well as making sure other shooters on the property follow club rules as well. All it'd take is one round over a berm.
