National Open Carry Day

I've been hearing that there is some sort of National Open Carry Day on July 4. I want to know how true this is and does it only apply to states where open carry is allowed traditionally?

+1 Obey laws.

However, for us Virginians, Va is a pre-empted open-carry state.

Welcome to PatriotPages.net

Here's the link a buddy of mine sent me, and I happened to see it in other forums as well.

Odd that I haven't seen anything on OCDO regarding it...

Please note the following from the above linked page.

*** Please carry responsibly and lawfully***

Thanks JD. I'm well aware of the laws, I was just wondering if there was such a Day.

Well, if it's legal in your state, you don't need a special day to OC.

I think the name "National Open Carry Day" is implying something erroneously

There is no legitimate "National Open Carry Day" endorsed or recognized by the Government, but wouldn't it be cool if there was.

Depends on what I end up doing that day. I'll be carrying, I can tell you that much.
