Well, if you are military you and need a good rifle I'd definately go with the M-4, since you should be very familiar with it and able to utilize your training.

That makes a lot of sense. Thanks for all your help, and if it's in my budget to get both I will.

That's the best option right there, get both if you can. I used to be content to have just an AK-variant as my go-to rifle, but after boot camp I decided I had to have an AR (thankfully I had all that boot camp money saved too). It just seemed like a waste to me not to have one.

I think it's only natural for those of us with previous service to have and to hold something that was our every day life defender. Heck--it's second nature. Without my AR-15, I'd be lost---truly. If it were taken away, I would be too.

I thought about the AK variant myself but I'm going to stick with the AR as well.

Seems like kind of an odd question. Do I want a pistol or a rifle?. And the pistol is in 10mm. Why do you want it in 10mm. To each his own but in these days of rising ammo prices I love my Glock 19.

The reason why I would wat a 10mm because it's very powerful, and I've wanted in my collection for some time now. I know that's not the best explanation but I just want it. After trying it out made me want it even more.

Heck. That is the reason most of us here have more than one gun anyway. We wanted something else/new.

We need a current safe inventory before an informed decision can be made.
