Bought the Single Six .22
So I purchased the 50th Anniversary Ruger Single Six .22LR/.22/Mag that posted about the other day.
I've never owned a single action revolver before. What a fun gun! It's got a great trigger and it's a real shooter. At 25' you can tear out the bullseye. At 50', even a guy like me (call me "Shakes") can post respectable groups. The very tall front sight took a little getting used to and the Ruger manual didn't offer a sight picture suggestion, but if the top of the front sight is level with the rear notch, it's dead nuts at 25'. The gun is clean as a whistle and should be a nice hand me down to the kids someday. Now I need to pick up some .22 Mag., switch out the cylinder and see how she does with that.

A single-six .22 was my very first handgun ever, to this day still my favorite just for the fun value! It served many years in the woods and swamps as my primary 'snake-charmer'. Must have put 'ump-teen' thousand rounds through it too.
A GREAT gun. Congrats!

Congrats!
![]() My wifey inherited her dad's last Oct. and I too have discovered what a fun shooting revolver it is! Great trigger and accurate! It was still in the "western" holster & ammo belt it came with. You'll luv it. Pic: ![]()

Congrats. I've been eyeballing a .22 revolver for some time and that one is very high on the list. Thanks for the review!
