Glock has done it to me again!

Once again Glock has proved itself to me. I took my new G17 out to a "free" range to try her out. I must say it is one soft shooting pistol, almost more than the Beretta 92. I didn't shoot any paper targets, instead me and a buddy went out to the middle of nowhere to shoot for free, and we busted up some clay targets, and put more holes into an old refrigerator and couch that were already there.

I've gotten sick of shooting at paper all the time, and wanted to try something a little different, and it was a lot of fun. It certainly is a rush to be able to rapid fire an AK rifle at an old couch. Of course I was always aware of my backstop which was a big hill, and beyond that was trees, so I wasn't concerned about hitting anyone or anything that I wasn't supposed to.

Anyway it looks like my G17 is a keeper, and I can trust it with my life! I see a G21SF in my future too.

Glocks have a way of doing that.

As much as I try to not like Glocks, I keep coming back to them. Simple works better.

I remember one of the first times I was at the range with my G21. The guy in the next (indoor) booth had a Colt 1911 Gold Cup and he kept looking over at me while I was shooting. Where I was consistently shooting good groups, he kept having to stop and fiddle with his gun and some such thing - not to say I was or is a great shot, but the load and shoot, repeat part was just too much for him I guess.

I used to think that they looked and felt like bricks in my hand.
Now I own two of them...go figure!

I recently become the owner of a Glock 21 45 ACP a couple of months ago. I must say at first I was hesitant to buy what some people had always called the "plastic gun", plus add to the fact that I am a fan of the old 1911, colt, springfields, but since I purchased it took it to the range a few times I finally became a full believer in the glock slogan of perfection. Would recommend to anyone.

I'd say you're still a few bricks shy of a full load! ;)
