Benelli guns, motorcycles?

Picking up my first Benelli shotgun today got me to thinking. Are the gun and motorcycle company related?

Benelli (motorcycle)was established in Pesaro, Italy in 1911. Teresa Benelli, a widow, invested all of the family capital into the business in the hope that it would offer stable work for her six sons: Giuseppe, Giovanni, Francesco, Filippo, Domenico and Antonio ("Tonino").

Benelli Armi was founded in 1967 as an offshoot of the Benelli motorcycle factory.

Had a Benelli M/C once. An early 70's vintage, wierd looking left handed deal, as I recall. I was young, and went through alot of different rides.
Based on my limited experience, I am certain the guns are better.

BTW; You know why Brits drink warm beer?

They have Lucas electric system refrigerators.
