I got a deal from a guy at work that bought them when they were like 60 bucks.
This one is in perfect condition, and looks like it was made yesterday.Ive had collectors DROOL over it.. With Norma Ammo is is an absloute tack driver. I have won a few local contests with it over the years. As for recoil, its probably the sweetest shooting milsurp that Ive got. If I ever see another in decent condition I am buying it. They quit making them ya know... Id show ya a picture but my kids got the camera at the moment and he aint here... |

$60 - <sigh> !! Lucky fella.
I have almost always heard good things - even re modern 6.5's - seems a very useful cal. Thx for the response.

The K31 that I shot was absolutley amazing. I'd really like to own one. If the ammo were to become more available I'd jump on one.

Let's see, from what I can remember off the top of my head:
1940ish Argentine FN P35 contract gun Mauser 98 GEW Yugu M48 Mauser Arisaka Type 98 (with intact mum + all matching) Carcano 7.35 carbine A pile of 91/30s, M44s, 91/59s, etc in the Nagant family. Nagant revolver Webley Mk IV Enfield Mk 4 No 1 Czech Z Pistole .25 ACP Pre-1955 Ruger Standard (Pre-Mk 1) 22LR In the should be pile: Modern Tokarev Russian Makarov Walther P1 1957 (will be in a couple years) unfired 870 Magnum Deluxe Grade. It's a shame it's never been fired, but I don't have the heart.

Ahaha - I seem to remember a mention of that Cadet previously - it piques my interest. Any pic Betty, but don't worry if not.
And the Luger - nice - does it have a good barrel? The only ones I have seen close up were all but shot out, re the rifling.

That reminds me...
I forgot about my 16 guage 1897. It was made in 1901. I guess that qualifies as a C&R. I once owned a pristine 7.7 Jap Arisaka with the antiaircraft sights and it was beautiful. Supposedly a friends grandfather bought it back from Okinawa. Had the mum and everything matched. Like an idiot, I sold it and a 6.5 Carcano for 60 bucks to put down on another gun. That was 25 years ago...long before I got bit by the Milsurp bug. I kick myself in the tail everytime I look at the price of a war trophy with the Mum intact. |
