I got my C&R Licance when I turned 21. I havent used it in a while. Last Year I got a Yugo SKS and a Mosin Nagant M44 from gun broker. They are both very fun! I also got from a local gun show a LC Smith side by side Double Barrel 12guage. Doube trigger in decent shape. I had some fun with that.. especially pulling both triggers at once. I am looking to sell it or trade for CC Semi auto. Any takers?

C&R means Curio and Relic. This is a special class of firearms that individuals with a limited form of an FFL can purchase and have delivered right to their door.

The rule of thumb is things 50 years old or older, but in reality there's a specific list. It's mostly old battle rifles, but a few handguns creep in there too.

Personally I love el cheapo old military or military style guns. I prefer the real thing when possible. Guilty pleasure!

There's just something about picking up a Mosin Nagant and wondering what it would have been like to muck around somewhere in the mud in Europe well over 50 years ago, an ignorant conscript ripped from his farm with barely an idea of how to fire that thing, armed with a whopping 20 or 30 rounds of ammunition...

Does it allow you to purchase certain firearms cheaper, or just to purchase certain firearms??

Main thing is - it saves you having to do transfers - gun comes straight to you. Also gives you a discount at Brownells IIRC.

Downside tho - C&R does not make you a dealer so - you can't go buying up stuff just to sell.
